Wharfedale vintage speakers
User Name Remember Me? Do you know the story behind this design, please tell me. Granted that room, the speaker's dynamic presentation, precision and agility at the low end made them a talented proposition. Massively overlooked speakers in their day and seem to be making a come back so they are appreciating in value! Very Good items may show a few slight marks or scratches but are fully functional and in overall great shape. Does anyone know where I may be able to source some spares or anyone capable of refurbishing them to a high standard without charging the earth? I spotted a pair of Wharfedale Programme 20 speakers locally on Gumtree but I could find very little information on them other than they are designed as background speakers for public venues and have extended bass.

From tweeter domes made out of diamond, to cleverly braced and shaped cabinets, to cones made out of Kevlar, they were innovative speakers. I must confess that the Linton is somewhat of a nosalgic choice. Ever since I have always judged speakers with the sound they produced in the back of my mind. They do look very pretty in my eyes the rosewood model CD. If you sit in the "sweet spot" form

Try to aquire a pair of celestion ditton 15xr if possible. Thanks to Kenneth in Aalborg! But not so the A4, which is capable of both. All music on the ipod has been recorded in the loss-less mode. Care was required when positioning, but get it right and the huge soundstage, accuracy and speed of delivery on offer were superb.
Speakers are funny things in that there are as many of different types as well as opinions. They're designed to be used on their sides, not standing up, and they emit a hefty sound that's got plenty of detail, weight and scale for their size. There have been threads on here on Ditton66 spekers if you search, also a pair of Spendor BC1 changed hands at an affordable price. My guests don't like it.
